I don't know how to use the program or install it

First, read the instructions. If you still have questions, contact support at t.me/hintsage_support.

When I run the downloaded file I see "Windows protected your PC"

The app does not yet have a trusted code-signing certificate. This is the standard Windows warning for unsigned apps from the internet, not an antivirus alert. It appears for any file without a certificate. See the instructions for more. instructions

My antivirus (e.g. Windows Defender) reports a virus in the archive

Some antivirus software may give false positives. The app uses audio capture, screenshots and stealth features that can trigger this.

I selected Speakers as the audio source but speech is still not recognized

Go to settings, open the audio section and set the correct speaker and microphone devices. Bluetooth headsets often cause issues with capture; try built-in or wired speakers/headset instead.

Session start error: "value does not fall within the expected range"

Usually caused by the antivirus blocking access to audio. Without admin rights you may not be able to fix it. Run the app on a machine where you can change antivirus settings or where antivirus is disabled.

Startup error: "SSL connection could not be established… Try again"

Two common causes:

  1. Make sure your system date and time are correct.
  2. Add the app to Windows Defender (or your antivirus) exclusions. See this YouTube guide

I get an error when trying to take a shot

Often caused by a custom/non-official Windows build missing required libraries. Try installing:

  • Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable (2015–2022) x86/x64: download
  • If that doesn't help, also .NET 8.0: download

Does window invisibility always work?

The stealth mode works with all messengers and screen-sharing apps. Supported on Windows 10 version 2004 (build 19041) and later (released May 27, 2020). The app will warn at startup if your Windows version is too old. Check your build with Win + R. You can verify invisibility by taking a screenshot or sharing your screen to yourself in a video call — the app window will not appear.
